Easy wiper diagnostics: Some of the wipers from SKODA Genuine Accessories are offered with wear indicator. The indicator itself is black and it's hidden under the protective yellow foil, which is removed when the wiper blades are fitted. The indicator is activated by the foil removal. The diagnostic layer under the foil is sensitive to weather conditions and UV rays to the same extent as wiper blade rubber and indicator gradually changes color from black to yellow, indicating the need to replace the blade. But wear indicator is not sensitive to mechanical damage and damage caused by dirt and frost. This means that in case of mechanical damage, the wiper rubber needs to be replaced sooner, regardless of the wear indicator condition.
